Rebecca Martin
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Rebecca makes time and space for you to feel comfortable to start dealing with your concerns, explore solutions, or simply vent. The goal for her counselling is that you are more able to identify patterns that can lead to psychological distress, more able to challenge your inner-critic or be comfortable verbalising your experiences to those close to you. She encourages you to try healthy habits, new routines, and grounding techniques. She shares a passion for promoting equity and diversity in her mental health work and personal life. Her goal is to support you and have you walk out feeling in a better place than when you walked in. She knows she has done her job well when you feel more sure of being able to cope when things go wrong, and when you have found what works for you.
She aims to help you explore your concerns, feelings, worldview, habits, behaviour and thoughts. Through this, you will realise your own abilities and independence to cope better with your current and future concerns.
Rebecca understands it can be difficult to reach out to a new psychotherapist for the first time whether you’ve been through therapy before or not! So she wants to assure you she brings no judgement to your shared counselling sessions. Together, Rebecca will work with you through these feelings and experiences together.
