Tips on Taking Care of your Mental Health

“Health is wealth.”

We could not agree more with this statement. However, as we are staying indoors and social distancing to help stop the spread of the virus, some of us may be feeling mentally isolated or exhausted.

It’s important to take care of your mind and soul, as well as your body. A healthy mind is part of a healthy body. Here are a few things you can do to help look after your mental health:

  1. Talk about your feelings

Your loved ones are just a phone call away! Don’t be afraid to reach out, have a chat, and talk about your feelings. Connecting with others will help you feel more warm and safe.

2. Keep active

Now that we are seeing warmer weather and plenty of sunshine, why not go for a daily walk or jog? Fresh air and exercise helps keep you physically and mentally active. 

3. Eat and drink well

It may be easy to not properly eat or drink when you are working from home. Feed your body the energy it needs. Daily reminder: don’t skip any meals and hydration is key!

4. Take a break

It could be a 10 minute stretching activity or a 30 minute good book read. Whatever your small getaway is, make sure to take a break. Rest is just as important as work.
