How this brand changed the way we look at cough syrup
As the flu season approaches, we want to share with you one of our favourite products that we offer here at our clinic. On the outside, Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa Cough Syrup might seem like any other cough syrup offered on the market but this product’s unique pleasant taste and 100% natural ingredients are what sets it apart from others.
To begin, this cough syrup is free of any alcohol, artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. It has been used as a remedy since the Qing Dynasty and contains a blend of herbs, honey and loquat. While the ingredients are 100% natural, it has been shown to be effective at alleviating a sore throat and as a cough reliever.
In Asia, it has been used as a flavour for a variety of food items such as gelato, bubble tea, and a whole variety of desserts. The taste can be described as sweet but not overpowering with a slight fruity flavour. When consumed, it provides immediate relief and comfort while leaving your throat with a cool feeling.
While you can take the cough syrup as it is; today, we want to share 2 different ways you can consume Pei Pa Koa Cough Syrup. These recipes are simple yet delicious - for those rainy days where you need some alleviation but can you use a wam drink to lift you up.
1. Heat up a glass of your favourite plant-based milk. We love oat but you can use whichever milk you want. Add a teaspoon or two of Pei Pa Koa Cough Syrup and give it a stir. You are ready to go!
2. Another way to consume this is with a cup of honey tea. Steep your favourite tea, we prefer jasmine loose leaf tea for a more traditional taste. Mix in 2 teaspoons of Pei Pa Koa cough syrup with 1 tablespoon of honey. The cough syrup along with the honey will provide an extra soothing effect. Stir well and enjoy!
The pleasant taste of this cough syrup makes it versatile for several preparations. Be creative and try it in your own favourite recipes!
